Im buiding an LS VTEC and I think im going to order some forged rods. Im going just a 11:1 or so NA setup. I figured the stock B16A pistons would work but will they work with forged rods? Thanks jay

You have to get the pins modified to fit stock pistons.

But yes, you can put stock B16 pistons on forged rods w/ a modified pin

 

Well, what would I have to do to them to make them fit?

take it to a machine shop

have them modify the bushing

 

So how much would that cost to do? It wont effect reliablilty will it?

 

or you need to modify the pistons for spiral locks
