Default Dyno'd the B20VTEC - results inside

<IMG SRC="http://www.orbit3d.com/view.phtml?id=528.jpg
" BORDER="0">
206.4 @ 7650 Horsepower
151.7 @ 6200 Torque

B20VTEC
11.95:1 CR
Stock B16A2 head
97 Spec R cams
ITR manifold
JDM ITR header
Cold Air intake
Tanabe B-Pipe/ES Tuning muffler
Mugen chip w/ VAFC
Cam gears at 0,0 (not tuned0
Timing: 15 degrees
91 Octane
VTEC: 4900

The car likes to run really weird. Modereate a/f ratio in the midrange, WAY rich in the top end. I tried leaning out the top end and lost around 6 WHP!
The ignition timing is set at 15 degrees, advancing anymore caused detonation.
I tried lowering the VTEC point and the top end started to dive, Im not sure if that spike is due to the VTEC or the CAI effect.

Im pleased with the results, I think the cam gear tuning will yield some more power, especially midrange. Im hoping for 210 HP / 155-160 TQ on stock R cams

Im pretty happy, and will stay with these cams at least for a long while. I like the fact that I dont have to rev it sky high, shifting at 8200-8300 in a drag race should be just fine. Ill see how tuning the cam gears does.

I didn't know you had gotten ITR cams.

Did you make any runs with the stock cams?
What about the ITR muffler vs. ES muffler?

The torque is nice but it seems to decrease quickly, the cam gear tuning should help so that your horsepower number will be higher.

Can't wait to see what your ETs will be like.

Nice graph. Get rid of the spike and you'll have one of the flatest torque curves around. I thought you switched to a ITR muffler...lost power with it?

The ECU is a Mugen chip P28

I put the ES muffler back on for the dyno, and didnt get a chance to test the ITR muffler. I will next time, in about two weeks when I tune the cam gears.

Im running a GSR tranny

Thanks for all the comments

...nice... you might get with a full 2.5" exhaust, what your expecting with the cam gear tuning... and more yet with the gears...

good job, you should be able to hit a low 13 maybe touch 12's. the cam gears will add more midrange when you get them dialed. I'd say stick with the R cams since your car is primarily a street car. they make great midrange where you use it mostly. Bigger more expensive cams trade off low end for high end. just something to think about. I'm sure you'll like the skunks though if you try em.

Compression with stock B20Z pistons and a B16 head would be around 9.9:1

From the cam gears, Im mostly expecting midrange and a little more peak as well.
When I tuned the non VTEC cams on the dyno, I picked up 10-12 FT-LBS accross the board till about the last 1000 RPMs! Mmmm...imagine 160+ FT-LBS to the wheels
