Do you like getting tickets for excessive noise/modified exhaust?
Then don't buy the N1.
Build quality and fitment are good. They are quite loud too.
But for the money - I would go with a SMSP 2.5" exhaust.

Thats exactly what I did...I dont regret it at all...however, if my car was my DD I definitely would.

The N1 is just a muffler. It depends on what kinda piping you have for it also. If it's stock piping the volume is bearable. If you have larger diameter piping (such as a cat-back piping) then it will be very loud. It's already unbearable for me around 3500 rpms. I lost my silencer more than a year ago so I can't tell you how loud it is with 60mm piping + silencer. Other than that it sounds GREAT. Nice, deep, not ricy at all. It just sounds deep and aggressive. When you're in VTEC the engine ends up being louder than the exhaust so you pretty much don't hear it anymore.
i already have a buyer for the twinloop and also i live in wisconsin.. i bought the twinloop used and it is a friend that is buying me a new N1 for my mugen.. so i think i am making out pretty good in the end.. but thanks for the offer..
I use a Spoon N1 on my DC2R with HKS exhaust piping and also got my cat removed. Runs great - waaayyyy better than my old HKS Super Drager. It has a deep tone to it and its bearable to me. Of course if you want to listen to your classical collection cds then you'll have to put the volume on full.
I ran my Spoon N1 with the stock B pipe for a while and recently switched to 2.5" piping with a 14 inch magnaflow resonator. I also had a 2.5 inch flange out on the N1. It's quite a bit louder, though some of it may be attributed to new cams as well. Before the cams went in I noticed from outside the car it's a bit raspier, but nothing extreme- still sounds good. I rock the silencer on decently long trips now. It helps a lot.
I removed my Spoon N1 and Spoon b-pipe in favour of a Legalis-R catback, the N1 was just tooloud for me and that was with the tail pipe bung inserted...it was just too droney on long journeys and got me too much attention from my local police....it sounded great in vtec and had a very distinguished wail to it, but i couldnt hack it on long journeys.

No, 90% of Spoon parts don't say Spoon on them.

Exactly, only the parts that Spoon actually manufactures say Spoon on them.
