Default how high???

i got a ls vtec...with stock ls rods and arp rod bolts.. a vtec oil pump..a chiped pr3 ecu.. 2nd gen cams...and type r valve springs...how high could i rev this???? any idea how much power it will make??

Stay bleow 8400 rpms. Occasional 8900 rpm zing is okay.

LSVTEC's are kings of the street. IMO. More power sooner so you'll less likely be caught out of gear from the occasional ricer "flyby."

thanks rocket...so the bottom end with just rod bolts will handle 8400??

Yes.

What is more critical is that you have proper rod bearing clearance. Should be from 0.0018 to 0.002" Honda recommends this clearance for B18C's.

If you don't have enough clearance the big end heats up and gets blue and binds and kaboom. "Mysterious Rod Failure".

Also, ITR valve springs don't have enough pressure to protect the motor against mis-shifts.
