HELP ME. Fuel Pump not working?
I was driving along minding my own business today when my car died. I did the usual troubleshooting and came up with nothing; all under-dash fuses checked out, all engine-bay fuses checked out, and no CEL code.
Then I realized that when I put the key in the ignition and turn it to the "on" position, I couldn't hear my fuel pump priming like usual. I found it hard to believe that my 6 month old Walbro 255 had died, so I unplugged the fuel pump harness and used my voltmeter to determine that there is no current going to the pump when the key is set at "on" and the pump should be priming.
WTF is going on? Luckily I have tomorrow off, but there is no way I can go thru thursday without a car. I need your help ASAP!

Nope, fuses all checked out. I think it might be the main relay because voltage is present in the relay harness but isn't present at the pump.
I'm getting tired of jogging a half mile to my car to do tests

So my relay checked out fine also.
But when I was doing continuity tests, I found out something very weird... The relay is supposed to get power for 2 seconds when the key is at the "on" position. But right now, there is constant power going to the relay and when I turn the key to "on" the power cuts off. THAT'S EXACTLY THE OPPOSITE OF WHAT'S SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN.
My Haynes said something about a switch that disables the relay if low oil pressure is detected. How do I check my oil pressure? The oil light never went on before the car died. Of course it's on now along with the engine and battery lights because they all light up when you start the car.
