I can't believe it. My first ticket. I just dropped my dad off at LAX and then came back to find a F'ing ticket for $25! **** bored cops that just want to squeeze more money for the freaking airport. I'm just going to have to pay it. If I go to the CHP with the front plate on, they probably nail me for having tint in the front. Just great... just great... END OF RANT.

I once got a ticket for parking illegaly on a street that I never even heard of. They sent the ticket to my house, but I didn't get one on my car. That's messed up. I think the dumbass cop who gave the ticket copied down the license plate number wrong.. moron!! Cost me 50 bucks.

 

i never even had my front plate on. It came off the first day i got my car. Hopefully i wont get a ticket for that . well im sorry to hear that you got a ticket for that man

 

Think of it as an "Appearance Tax".

I drive without one, too... glad to know it's only $25. I'd have to get 4 or 5 a year to get annoyed at that.

Y'know... I even have a chippy licence plate (if we had Fing avatars, you'd see it... ) that I pay the state of CA EXTRA for... and I see no reason to display it in front and give the Johnies a radar target.

Whatever. F cops. F the DMV. F tickets.

o the same thing happened to me. I was driving my moms truck though and i was in hollywood trying to find parking by the house of blues. I could have sworn that the sign said parking was aloud at the time i was there so i parked there and came back to see a ticket for like $30 on my damn windshield.

$25 is not too bad, my wife got hit with a $80 ticket for not having a front license plate. The only reason it was off, was some idiot backed into her and bent the crap out of it, so I was trying to bend it back. It was only off for 4 days. Cop was a real a..hole. It was 7:30am in rush hour and he targets her. She was even 10 mph below the speed limit due to heavy traffic.

 

You kidding me? It's not EVER going to be on my car... unless I get tickets left and right.

In San Jose/Bay Area, the new Law says that No Front Liscence Plate is $100.00 starting from the New Year... Sucks

I have my liscence plate inside the mouth. Its on the front, plus it doesn't block the front...

 

glad PA has never made this a law

 

For anyone that wants to get away with no front plate.

Go to the town hall or DMV,and tell them you lost your plate.They will give you this paper to fill out and send away.Fill the paper out but just leve it in your glove box.When you get pulled over show the cop the paper,and tell him or her you have not sent it out yet.
I have not tried this yet,but a few of my friend have.It works for them,It may be different state to stae.

Hey, Hey guys, check in the big California Vehicle Code. It probably says something like "every vehicle must have a front license plate." Where have you guys been living to be so surprised when ticketed? Cops write tickets. Some of you need to cut back on the Gran Tursimo, seriously....

the only good thing about PA is no Front License Plate..

They want you to have it so they can make $ from Laser and photo cop no other reason.

 

What the law with front pates? Can you put them behind the front window on the dash?

I know in NJ, cops are usually OK with the front plate being on the windshield, on the lower corner on the passenger side. A friend of mine didn't have front license plate bolts, and went to state inspection with the plate chillin in the corner of the windshield and they still passed him.

 

for sure you cannot put the lic. plate in the windshield in cali. they will probably ticket you even faster if you do it that way because you are intentionally misplacing it (+rice).

i figure if the cop wants to harass you, he will get you for something. rather than have him get me for an exhaust or tint, i'd rather take a $10.00 lic. plate fix it.

 

On no!!! Sorry fool. I don't have one either, and until I get ticketed for one, I won't. Knock on wood. See you tomorrow.
