Default header talk *i'm going crazy*

Hey h-t

Alright i have about $400 laying around and i want to get a header. This is my setup:

2000 civic lx w/b16a sirII
Cheapo hp racing header
hi-flow cat w/ muffler shop piping(2.25?) going to a apexi' n1 universasl muffler

I've been searching for awhile....and getting some info off of h-t. I want to get a good header. I've been hearing talk about vibrant j-spec, oem jdm type-r, dc sport jdm style, megan racing, jdm **** jsr ss header...

In my opinon i wanted to stay oem and just get the oem jdm itr....But i start seeing all these other ones. Which one out of these would be best for the $$$? My car ran a 15.2 W/ the cheapo header...I just want something with a little better quilty.... I plan on doing skunk2 stage1 cams....If i go with the oem itr header will i see better improvements over all the rest?

-Thanks

I got my brand new OEM JDM ITR header for ~320 bucks. You cant beat that price for the R&D put into it, the quality, and performance gains. Plus it has schweet mounts to install a heat shield and skid plate to protect it from bottoming out and to maintain the stock OEM look (incase under-hood inspections are ever done).

I bought it through my engine builder, Id have to ask him where he bought it from. Although this may be a "special" since I was also paying for the engine build and all the install labor.

Hes on this board. Scott from B-Series.

Ive had mine on for months, Ive yet to bottom out on anything. besides if you are afraid of that just buy the JDM ITR skid plate. They go for like 30-50 bucks (got mine used for 15) and will help prevent any unwanted scrapes on your collector pipe.

They do.

Mine looks like someone took a louisville slugger to the two tubes closest to the ground.

My car isn't that low; maybe 0.5 - 0.75" down from stock.
