Default 99-00 Si Tranny

Will a '99-'00 Civic Si Tranny bolt right up to a '00 B18? What will I need? Should I do a clutch/flywheel swap before installing?

the 00 si tranny will work, I would upgrade the clutch and flywheel since the tranny is being dropped if there is a lot of miles on the old clutch and flywheel. accleration will be quicker w/ si tranny but hwy crusing will be higher in the rpms which will give you a little worse gas milage.

Id go with a GSR tranny on a LS. think the Si tranny would spin up a lil too fast for the LS.

I believe my lil bro is wanting to do LS/VTEC. Isn't the 00 Si tranny geared the same as the itr?

I thought it was the CTR that it shared similar gearing ratios with.

Yes, the '99-'00 Si and the USDM ITR share identical gear and final drive ratios.

Just know, the B16 tranny will wind up a lot faster, which means if you're going for full on drag 1/4 mile, this'll be the tranny for you (although LSD would be nice, I guess you could upgrade later). If you want a good highway, semi-drag, and all around transmission, get a GSR. Other than that, if you want a nice turbo/economical transmission, get the LS.

Anyone recommend a nice clutch/flywheel set up?
