My R's front got hit... questions about jdm front end
Well unfortunately a car hit my front end. My question is, how did you guys approach the jdm front end with the insurance. Did the insurnace company pay for it all or did you have to pay an extra amount. If so, how much extra did you pay? My insurance policy is a $1000 deductable and the insurance company pays the body shop directly. Thank you for your posts in advanced
The first time I had to pay some extra out of pocket, the damage to my car was not too severe. Insurance basically paid for the paint and install of the front end, and some spoon mirrors. The front end I paid out of pocket. And also back then, JDM fronts were still around $2500-3000. I recommend taking it to a shop where you are cool with the owner, makes things a lot easier. You basically need around 3400 for the front end, install, and paint, and then however much more it costs to repair anything else that was damaged.

try to get a check from the insurance company
and u should ask the body shop if they charge if you supply the parts because some of them do since that is where they make some of their money
