if anyone has done this to the EG let me know your story/experience and any problems you may have come across.
also i would like someone to help me out by finding a website that will show you the correct way to mig weld. i have never done welding before but my friend has and he could do it if he had instructions, i have searched but cant find anything.

its just spot welding. drill out the old welds, pull the old firewall. install new firewall, and fill in the old holes with new spot welds. needed: welder, weldie ha. its all pretty straight foward

ive talked to a few people and they say tig it. ive heard that its kind of hard to tig weld the aluminum pieces if you havent had much experience, but it can be done carefully. someone i have talked to mig'd theres and didnt like the support it gave so they ripped it off again and tig'd it.

im planning on tig'ing mine sometime over spring break...ill let you know how it goes.

no problem man. im the one who started this post and i was in the same situation you are in now. ill be posting up pics of the process. cutting firewall from jdm clip, cutting firewall from usdm hatch, welding in jdm firewall, sealing jdm firewall, and replace all brake lines and other parts on the firewall...
