How to reset the maintenace light to green, and what does it mean because it was green b4 and now it yellow.

 

Read your user manual. If you don't have it, that is just a reminder to change your oil. You can reset it by pushing the recessed reset button next to it. It will turn red eventually. The dealership will just check your fluids during service intervals and reset it. No biggie.

Just so you know, the main't light is mileage based. It's just a reminder to do whatever maintenance might be coming up.

 

On your '82' accord the is a slot below the speedo to stick the key in and reset the main't reminder.

 

that only works on 6th gen and up cuz 5th gen and below isnt a light its a iono this thing hahaha...

 

how do you reset it on a 2002. It is driving me crazy..

 

with car off, hold down trip reset button. turn key to on (but do not crank). continue to hold trip reset button for 10-15 seconds. light will flash, then turn off.
