Johnny Racecar Intercooler install pics - Tyrus VI intercooler ~ t3h w1n
damn this is some good product for the money!!!!!!
johnnyracecar intercooler, VI version fits PERFECTLY in my 98 bumper... the downside is that I lost my OEM fog lights, but that's aiight. I'll live with it.
Had to drop the rad so I could get the drill to the rebar...

M8 tap so I can tap the rebar and mount the brackets. I had to work the holes out a lil with the dremel in order to get the M8 bolts through the brackets.

thanks Tyrus!!!

haha, yeah the thing is, I don't do this at home, so I gotta truck tools back and forth in my beater, and I didn't bring a pan w/ me that time. it's ok, I cleaned it all up
thanks all for the comments... and yeah it does tuck nicely. I just painted the gille back to black (god damn body shop
) so I'll have some more pics.
also where that blue line is marked is totally NOT the final cut... I had to make about 3-4 more cuts, so not I just have a sliver of the outside vertical grille support left.... you'll see when the fresh pics get posted from yesterday.

you say that why?? you mean height-wise, depth-wise, or vertically?
maybe you're crosseyed??
haha j/k... really why do you say it's crooked?
if you notice in the 1st pic there is a tape measure across the rebar, so it's not like I eyeballed this peice like a mook. Everything is measured and squared away.

Can't wait to put mine on...but I bought the VIII version. I am pretty sure it will flow way better than that crap FMIC I got from StreetImports. Not trashing them guys..but the intercooler was just way too big and for the money, it was not worth it.
so is the intercooler mounted behind the bumper support and not directly under it?Im buying that same one this week for my eg and still got some q's
dam those intercoolers work! i tried it on evo mr it was really cold on one side and hot in the other best bang for the buck! i got to say
