Hey guys just wanted to know if any of you guys have the same problem. Recently my car is making lots of squeeking noises every time my car bounces from bumps or just going on speed bumps. Its really annoying and makes my car sound like its about to fall apart. I was thinking either my coilovers are getting soft or maybe the cheap camber kit i bought from dropzone But yea just wanted to know if anyone had the same problem and what part of the suspension that i need to work on. thanks guys

 

this squeeking just happened to me a few days ago, i gotta wait til the rain clears to figure it out.

 

mine does that too every once in a while, I moved everything around in the spare tire area and just kinda shook the trunk cover, went right away. after I've had stuff in the trunk it sometimes comes back. check the stupid stuff first before you spend any money.

 

well for sure i know its my suspension. Just driving out or in my drive way makes the squeeking sound.

I know my solution sounded stupid, but what you describe is the exact same sound I had. Speed bumps, driveways whatever, sounded liike it came from the rear passenger side, real high pitch obnoxious squeak squeak. yeah. all I did to fix it was move the **** around in the spare tire area. That fixed it. And I was thinkin the same thing, bad bushing, spring whatever. Hey, just try it and see, if it doesnt fix the problem you didnt waste any money trying.

If it does turn out to be something else post it and let us know

 

well its not only coming from the back area of my car but all around my car. front to back. Im thinking its the cheap camber kit with the really low drop i have on my car. but i dont know thanks for your effort though

 

if its coming from all around the car, sounds like something you just installed recently then, like that camber kit you mentioned.

 

yea im thinking its probably the camber kit. anyone else have sounds coming from there camber kit?

I've got the same problem, i have the Tein type basic coilovers w/ dropzone camber kit on my 00 GSR. I have the same problems when im driving out of my driveway and when the car is uneven. I think its probably dirt or something. It happend b4, and i sprayed wd40 on the upper control arm in the front and it went away for a while, but it eventually came back. Im thinking its the camber kit or something. Most of the noise comes from the front when i go over little speed bumps and stuff like u mentioned. When it gets warmer, Im gonna spend some time sprayin out the wheel wells, and puttin some grease in the areas where i hear the sound. Hopefully the grease will last longer than the wd40. Hope this helps

 

My car has made a "squeeky" sound up front ever since the ingalls camber kit went on. I was warned that poly. bushings will squeek way more than rubber and other than oiling them up every week there is nothing you can do... I don't even notice it anymore... and it did seem to improve a bit with time

 

try lubing the camber kit bushing with silicone. Also check the front sway bar bushings.
