hi guys and gals, i am a little upset about something regarding my 92 db2. i cant get any mounts!!!! i hate it, i am going with a very extreme turbo setup and motor mount inserts aint gonna cut it with me, so i need jimfabs or hasports. i figure if we can get enough people to ask jimfab or hasport to make billet mounts... we might be able to make them manufacture some. start posting if u know anything about this, and i do know that Place Racing made mounts for our cars, but they went outta business...

 

Still waiting to hear from Jimfab...I want mounts from him bad. My boy put a full set of torque mounts from him on his EK...said his **** handles better, launches better and feels more 'planted' than it ever felt with his old stock mounts with inserts did. to JimFab making some mounts.

 

yeah no ****... i have ridden in hasport and jimfab mounted cars, and i loooooove them. i sent an email to jimfab also, still waiting for a response.
how long ago did u contact jimfab?

 

Count me in! My trannt mount and rear mount are broke. 2 out of 4 mounts isn't going to cut it for much longer, especially when the GT28R gets slapped on it.

I hear that. I've been thinking about buying brand spankin new mounts from the dealer, but I'd rather not get raped for a part that will just break again. Not to mention changing out the rear mount isn't a particularly easy task, and I don't want to have to do it more than once.

I contacted him a few weeks ago. I think he is probably trying to mock something up. I don't want to badger him to death...of course, as many of us that want his mounts, I am sure he already gets badgered to death. I've hear of people getting Polyurethane in a tube and 'filling' some stock mounts with it...I've heard it has good results, but I'd rather have some JimFab mounts.

 

yeah the whole thing with me is that i wouldnt feel assured with a stock mount with the amount of power i will be running, therefore i would rather have jimfabs... but hopefully we will find out pretty quick

 

I just e-mailed him, so I/WE will hopefully find something out real soon...I lost an engine and a torque mount recently. My inserts won't cut it for much longer.

well, i can deal with the other parts, but the mounts is what really makes my blood boil...lol. so this is one small step to DA domination!!! err...

I would love to get in on this cause when I finish my DA the stock mounts definately aren't gonna cut it.

 

even though I have all four place racing mounts... I would like a urethane based aluminum (no rubber please) mount kit... count me in.

As a new DA owner...I second this statement.

I thought it was me when I looked online and found no mounts for our cars. Now I see we just ain't got none made. I'm emailing 'em!

 

yeah email him if u can, i would rather not nag him so to speak, but we need to show him that there is a market for da mounts... i hope he understands...lol

 

maybe we could ask him to reposition the enigine downward and backward??? wait... who is "Him"???

 

"him" is jimfab. well, if you move the engine position rearward you will f up the axles and if you move it down the oilpan will scrape. i already scrape my 3 inch downpipe if i bottom out my car on something. but i would be interested in some mounts and he also needs to make his front crossmember for the da also, he makes it for a crx but not a da. thats dumb. i want both though so keep bitching at him and maybe hell make a run of them for us.

 

you have to control the amount of deflection... on the rearward/downward bias.. i vote for movement... were talking maybe .5-.75 of an inch
