Alright this is gonna be my last post on this subject. If I dont get my car going, i dont know what Im gonna do. Its been 7 months and I havent been able to take my car out. So could you people please help me? I have a 98 Civic EX (d16y8). I just did a 5spd conversion. I swapped my trans, intake manifold, throttle body, ecu, i even baught a brand new ACT HD00 clutch kit, brand new OEM flywheel, and did any necessary things to complete the 5spd conversion. I also did the 3-pin to 2-pin IACV wire conversion. I checked the connection with a probe and its good. I installed a "brand new" straight from Honda IACV also. Well, I tried starting it up and it died right after. Im getting a CEL code 14 and 3, which are the IACV and MAP sensor. I tried starting it up again, but this time I reved it. It reved fine but would die after i let the gas go bcuz it would jus drop all the way to 0 RPM. Its also smoking a lot of gray smoke out the exhuast. I checked my spark plugs, they were black on the bottom. Also, I seen like a little smoke or steam coming out after I removed my 3rd spark plug. I was told to just clean them and reuse them and rewire my IACV the other way. So I did, and same problem occured. It would just die right after I start it bcuz the idle would drop to 0 RPM. I also changed the MAP sensor with one from my Auto Throttle Body, which was working well. I checked my oil and yes, its pretty full. I also refilled the radiator with 50/50 Prestone Ready-To-Use Anti-freeze coolant after I swapped my intake manifold (had to flush it before removing intake manifold). So could anyone of you plz help me? I've been coming across with so many problems and I dont want to give up on my car. All I wanted to do was convert my car to 5spd so that I can boost it afterwards and hopefully be pushing out 200+hp with my setup that Im tryin to peice together. =*(
