just need a quik answer. well hell has frozen over and im thinking about upgrading the stereo in my car I have a question about the deck though. I have the combo cassette/cd player if i get a aftermarket deck wont that leave a huge cap where the main portion of the stereo was. how does that get filled i dont want a cheesy looking plastic pannel to be there. thanks.

They filled my dash with a "pocket" type panel.

 

you can buy an "installation kit" for like 15 bones which is a hunk of plastic that goes around the smaller deck and clips into where your old double din stereo was so there's no hole. Walmart will have it, or if you want a nice looking one go to any local stereo shop and ask for one.

 

well if u didnt have the compartment thing, u cud prolly get one used and put it in. looks so much better than the cheesy plastic panel.
