This could be because:
A) This guy is making the carbon parts himself and is doing like a 'pre-order' bid without mentioning that fact.
B) This guy is making the carbon parts himslef and has all of these already made.
C) This guy is selling them under $500.00 because if these were fraudulent auctions ebay doesn't insure any moneys returned on purchases of $499.99 or less.

If he hasen't made them yet, how the hell does he plan on making a few hundred in time to ship them out if he sells all of them?

He has a container arriving from Taiwan or has arrived and is waiting to clear customs. Considering 80% of all carbon hoods come from that region.
