Default rear wheel drive possibilities

with a reasonable amount of money and work...does anyone know if it would be possible to rotate everything 90 degrees and set up a rear wheel drive accord...or possible all wheel drive...would the engine fit in the engine bay when set longitudily? anything else that would have to be changed or replaced? i'm not actually thinking about doing this for my car...i was just wondering the possibilities...thanks

Yes you can flip the motor around, but u then need a custom $15,000 tranny and its still FWD. I have no idea how u would make it RWD other than spending boatloads of $$$$$. I dont see the point in even trying it in an accord.

Well, you can do an AWD setup. You would have to import the pieces from Japan. Honda makes AWD Civics, and Accord there.

I saw a RWD CRX about 2 years go. It was a mid/rear engine setup. Sure you can make an Accord RWD, its just a matter of money....anything is possible. The 7th gen Accord will have a AWD option as far as I know.

Dont worry about it too much, sometimes when your bored, and can't think of something to ask, you ask something stupid which is very irrelevent. I confess that I am guilty of this sometimes as well.

A shop here in Atlanta has a mid/rear CRX also. It has a motor form an NSX sitting in the hatch. Pretty cool. They call it the CRNSX.

I know a small block in the back of a CRX has been done before, ive read about it on the web before and seen it on TV when ESPN2 covers Car shows and drag racing.

We've been doing RWD CRXs for years by cramming a SBC into the back............it makes for nothing but smoke though

just so everyone knows...i'm not even seriously thinking about this kind of work to be done on my accord...it was just a thought and possibility that ran through my head...i have no where near enough cash to do such a large time and money consuming project...thanks for the responses though...
