Why are you bumping your thread? I can't even count the number of threads I've seen on this exact topic.

Try searching.

call jay, he can answer your questions , but you should be ok with CTR pistons.. but if you got eagles you might as well buy aftermarket pistons other than the OEM piston... if you plan to spray or anything..

my homie pyitr821 put ctr pistons in his gsr..... no problem what so ever. If you dont have a lot of funds, then get the p30, CTR, or JDM ITR standard bore pistons. If you have some money to spend, then screw the oem pistons and get some higher compression pistons!

if your on a budget than sell the eagles and you can get oem rods and pistons and still have money left (depending on where you find em)

Compression ratio #'s for PCT/CTR pistons.

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1088178

Rod/Stroke ratio

I highly advise reading through these threads. Best info I have found to date. P30's will make a little more compression/power in a GSR block compared to the ITR's. That includes the JDM ITR pistons as well. The GSR's make close to 13:1 compression. That calls for at least Hondata and some solid tuning for safety in my opinion. I don't doubt that it would run fine with a VAFC and some tuning though. It's all about how much power you want to make with your setup, and if you want it to be daily driveable or barely streetable. 13:1 compression is almost asking to use higher than 93 octane.

hey man i just put ctr pistons in my gsr and everything is going good. people on here were saying that it run right or id have to run racing fuel and now look at my car. its running great on 93 octane. it is tuned with hondata but thats all i would consider.
before i put them in i was scared and now i'm more than satified.

All calculated using OEM 3 layer gasket @ .026 and the compression height provided by Omniman

The P72 head and B18C block is about on the money. If you are good with math, they had the formula to calculate out the EXACT compression somewhere in one of those 2 threads I sent you.

12.9 compression is very high... probably a little too high! how would this run on pump gas. And im investing is hondata.... by the way where is a good place to purchase hondata?

12:9 and im running fine on pump gas. everything is good. u'll like th power u 'll get out of the ctr's so if i were u id go with the ctr's. im satisfied and my car is running good. just get tuned and u'll be alright.

I would only run CTR's with Hondata and tuning. Do you ever feel like you may be close to the threshold of knocking? What kind of whp gains did you see from the install? What stage Hondata are you running? Where did you get it? Sorry for the questions, but you have once again sparked my interest in CTR pistons in a GSR block.
