Default advan neova ad07

http://www.yokohamatire.jp/yrc....html

has anyone had any experience with these?

this is the new type and not the old version which were like a V-shape,

just wondering how this compare to the kumho's escta MX on a stock rim

and also 195/55 vs 205/50 on the stock rim

thx in advance!

I run the 195/55-15 on 15x7 TE37s; super-stiff sidewalls.

Great wet stability, I'd equate them to the S-03 (which is what they're intended to compete against). Not too noisy and decent treadwear (so far).

i run the 205/45/16 and i agree with shane...

i did a 2 day event at Watkins Glen on them and they held up wonderfully
they are quite grippy and absorbed the heat much better than the Azenis

didn't get greasy towards the end of a session as the Azenis always do...

I also agree. They came on my jdm 16's when i bought them and they are a great tire. They are very good wet/dry weather. I think they are bringing them here to the US soon.

If you don't want to wait, just IM "yellow blur" (Ed Liu); he can still get some 195/55-15s.

I have driven on those and they grip well on wet/dry.
Only complaint i have is it has a bit more road noise compared to the ES100 or my Michelin Pilot Preceda that i am using.

get a set of azenis and enjoy the noise then

they are so loud it's hard to tell when the noise is either a bad wheel bearing or just the tires

My JDM ITR came with AD07s unfortunately i changed the last of them only last week as they were on there way out, but when i first got the car they were like new, and grippier than any other tyre i have used before. Dry grip was unmatchable by anything else i've used before. Wet grip was pretty good too but i think toyo T1s have better wet grip (maybe thats just me) One thing about the AD07 is the stiffness of the sidewall...its super stiff and allows little or no flex, which did cause a bit of tramlining on poor roads but more than made up for it in cornering ability!

Sounds like a sweet tire, does anyone know what kinf of price range one would be looking at for this tire?

I read only yesterday where yokohama are going to market their flagship tyres in europe under the advan banner...it didnt mention which tyres would be available except for the currently available AVS (which i think stands for AdVan Sport anyway) Hopefully the AD07 will be among the range available here in europe becausei for one would definitely buy them again.

If you don't need the DOT stamp, Ed (yellow blur) out in LA has a source to get the 195/55-15 AD07s right now; that's how I got mine

I've gone through two sets of AD07's and S03's and feel the S03's have same amount of dry grip and a lot more wet grip than the Neovas plus are quieter. Lifewise, I got almost double the mileage with the S03's with mostly daily driving and with some auto-x compared to the AD07's

so want to make sure would anyone be able to estimate tread ware on these things? i know it all depends on how you drive bout just an estimate would be great!

im going to driving these on the street, so would the stock tire size be the best option? or a bit more grip will be find on the 205/50

thx again guys

Just to give a heads up, the AD07's are now avaliable on tirerack!!! I think today was the first day that they were listed but currently only are avaliable in 16 and 17 inch sizes. Most likely wait a bit and the 15's will start comming in stock

Thanks for the heads up But are you saying they are not DOT approved? Or they just come without a stamp?...

Can anyone else back this up? Or agree with what he is saying? Sorry for all the questions guys but I just want to get some feedback before I order a set of either the AD07's or the S03's, just want to make sure I make the best choice

The ones I got were a JDM import tire; got them about 1 yr ago...that's why they don't have any DOT approval stamp

UTAA treadwear rating for the AD07 is 180; the S-03 is rated at 220
