Default p30s into a lsvtec

What kind of modifacations do i need to put the p30 b16 pistons into a b18a lsvtec setup??? I just got a b16 shortblock so im going to see what i need to put them into it. TIA.

i would expect this to have been covered already, but all you need is to switch em over to the LS rods, need a machine shop to this since they are pressed on, and oh you need a hone on your LS block and get new oem bore piston rings.. im not gonna go on how to put it all together just have a proffesional do your work.

Ive built plenty of motors before, i was just curious, would this be better then the ls pistons and what rings should i order b16?

just use the rings from the pistons you are using (b16)

To answer your questions:

1. P30 pistons are the most "IDEAL" OEM piston for any b-series engine. Light, flatter, valve reliefs, fit on rods easily, yield C/R that is tunable and come oversized (which I suggest you use). THEY ARE FAR SUPERIOR TO LS PISTONS.

2. Use the OEM piston rings that match your piston and NOT application. Some people use Hastings, I always prefer OEM.

hell yeah i appreciate all the help guys, I went around yesterday and tried to find someone to press pistons onto rods. No one in richmond will does anyone know where i can go to get the p30s put on ls rods???

i could go to the beach to, to get them pressed so any shops from chesterfield to va beach let me know.
