Default !!!!!!!!!!!!!!ok i need some advice CHECK IT OUT b16a w/oversized itr pistons or ctr piston to GET

this is the setup im going to run

b16a block w/ctr pistons

b16a head with gsr cams till money is better

im not really sure if im going to run my diy itbs or run a manifold

anr street header

all oem gaskets

now here is the deal im putting it into a dc5 dont ask why? cheap build.....now i know i will have hardly any tq with the b16.... the reason im posting this is because ive been doing some research on building the b16 and im seeing people just run an oversized ctr piston. now how much tq is this gonna give me compared to ctr pistons? and will i still gain more hp than stock b16 pistons? as time comes i will continue to upgrade the head to give me hp bc3 and nice endyne job.........

just curious what piston i should run cuz im gonna probably be stuck with this bottom end for a little while

thanx for the input
----joe

have you tried to search and see what setups are people running and how it has worked out for them? there has been a lot of things that have been covered on hondatech and this seems like its kinda of a waste of space

ok. here goes:

maybe u dont know this but itr pistons will lower compression in ur b16... so u def dont want those. ctr pistons will raise ur compression to around 11:1 but theyre not forged pistons remember. Any serious power comin out of there is gonna melt those fkrs down.

If you want more torque then u need more displacement. Dont get me wrong, higher compression will increase ur torque somewhat, but there is no replacement for displacement. Save ur money and get an ls block to throw that b16 head onto. Ls/vtec is where its at, when done properly its really kicks ***. Also there are some serious budget b20vtec threads floatin around here.

Use the search button, listen, think, spend wisely.

you're all ******* idiots... especially the poster of this thread... whats the point of putting gsr cams in your b16, leave the b16 cams in there until you get money to mod your valvetrain or even do headwork... ahahahaha ******* gsr cams... wow 2-5 hp...

if you put oversized ctr pistons in your b16 block then id invest in some aftermarket rods and arp rod bolts... because it already sounds like you dont know what you're doing and you just want to rev your car to 10 grand to say you can...

I have oversized jdm itr pistons in my b16 block... i didnt like the idea of modifying the piston or shaving the oem rods for a high comp piston with such a high dome... For personal reasons. I have no doubt in alaniz abilities with my motor when they rebuilt it. But i've read good things and I read bad things... im going to leave it at that!!!

The pistons I have are the p73-00 .25 oversized and oem rings and my compression has been bumped 2/10ths, with a decent header and exhaust some buddy club 3's, an aftermarket valvetrain, and a hondata for tuning im going to hit 200 hp VERY easily make no mistake about it.

Anyone who says you're compression is going to drop by putting itr pistons in your b16 are correct to an extent but need to clarify that if they are STOCK sized USDM or JDM itr pistons then yes you will lose compression. If they are .25 over JDM ITR pistons p73-00 then you will rise the compression slightly.

If you need to rebuild the motor it's best to machine all of the cylinders .25 over and use the larger pistons.

Thats all im going to add to this thread, and a DC5 is an integra but I think you need to chill on the use of your honda tech language because I would build the K series motor in a DC5 instead of swapping it out for a b16 LOL think about it moron

DC2's are the integra you're probably talking about
