Just wanted to know if its just me or if every R owner goes through this little thought process... I remember when i got the R i was so happy and loved it, dont get me wrong i love the car, just hate the hastle since i have gotten the car someone has jacked my center caps and i have been followed home 3 times.

since i have installed the turbo kit it has gotten worse, i hardley drive the car anymore just because im scared that i will come out and its gone, i have insurance and what not and im always like steal it ill get paid. i have had thought to sell it ?

That being said I think everyone has thought about it just gotta figure out if your willing to go through w/ it or not. I can't bring myself to let it go

 

I thought about selling it... I had my share of problems with thieves recently stolen emblems, stolen sound system last year some friends and family say sell the car its too much hasle but I can't let go of mines just yet, its just a car I always wanted to get and I feel I should enjoy it!

 

My was stolen last Sat and recovered today. Bare shell. I am still going to keep it if it's not a write-off.

yea thats some **** right there. THe world is becoming more and more shitty every day.

 

usally about mid way through the winter i always think of selling it since i dont drive it. but then if i replaced it it would probably be with another R. i had a chance to sneak it out yesterday with the new set up and im good now till wnter is over.

NEVER. the only thing i think about is my next mod, when I am getting it tuned again, and when I can get some azenis for some track this summer.

 

I've thought about it a couple times, but have always decided to keep it. Even with the problem of theft, I think it should be driven like it's meant to be driven.

 

My opinion is very similar to that of many members. I've thought about it, theres no question there, but I can just never get myself to do so. Too much emotional attachment to the damn thing. The only way its leaving my hands for the time being would unfortunately be theft.

 

Frankly, I'd be better off if someone came and stole mine.
Unless something like that happens its unlikely I'll be parting with.

those were my thoughts, everyone knows what happened (see sig if you don't)

 

I've checked out a couple of cars since owning the R, such as the WRX, EVO, and 350Z. I think it was mainly just to see what else was out there. I never got serious about getting rid of the R.

Five years now and I want to keep her more than ever!

 

I do everytime I get followed home, or have to wake up @ 4 am to switch cars around in my GF's driveway so the R is blocked in.

It's ok, all that will be over soon, im buying a brand new beater

I've thought about selling my ITR so that I could buy a different ITR. I'm not joking btw.

 

it would cost me from $33,000 to $35,000 to get the same or better performance
from the sti or evo mr but the long term build quality is always hanging around as a negative on those cars. I love the R and will drive it as long as its meant to be mine. its just the greatest car period i love it.

 

I would sell my car in a heartbeat if I get the magic number. 2001 PY ITR #152.. 65,xxx miles. bone stock except for clear corners, and hyper ground wires. motor unmolested. Orlando. all maintanence (side work) done by Honda-tech. normal wear and tear
