Default HELP!!!!, with hcp

I know ive asked this question before, but im having a hard time understanding some of your responses. The question is , how to get the front mount to work on the hcp kit. Someone has mentioned to me that i would have to slot the ears in order for it to work, but i dont fully understand what that means. If anyone has any pics, please post them, or better explain what this mean. Any help offered wouild be much appreciated.

thanx,

OK-the part of your fr crossmember that the motor mt bolts into has two tabs stiking up,w/a hole in each for the motor mt bolt to go through. You will have to slot, elongate,or redrill these holes so they line up w/the fr mt(which I keep calling a mt mount, but I believe it's bolted to the tranny).I also had to trim the outside of these tabs so the mt could sit close enough to the crossmember to let me bolt it up and not rest on it,transferring more vibration to the driver. You also might want to dimple (dent)the firewall behind the r mt-my r mt rests against the firewall, transferring some vibration-and you know about denting the l framerail for alt. pulley clearance,I assume-hope this helps......

Ya, you just cut off about 1/2 to 3/4" on the bracket on the crossmember, and you'll have to drill new holes for it.
