Default GSR questions

I'm just wondering, how many of you GSR owners took the tag off the back? I'm cleaning up my car and I think I might do that... Just in case, is it easy to put back on as strong as it first was? Also, will it leave a mark I have to buff out or anything? 2nd thing... I hit the search button and I tried to find where I can check if I have any problems my OBD2 recorded. I found a post and looked under the dash and couldn't find any plugs or anything... where is it?? Thanks!

i took off my badge on a hot summer day w/ my fingernail. u can use a credit card to get under it if youre having a hard time. its easy, and i dont even remember it leaving any stuff, if there was, it was real easy to clean. why would u take it off then put it back on? i guess you could crazy glue it or something to get the ecu codes, remove the kick panel on the passenger side. there should be a blue box, take a paper clip and make it into a "U" shape, then insert both sides of the clip into the two holes in the blue box. turn ignition to on. check the cel..one long flash =10, one short flash =1, add up the total. example, 4 long flashes plus 2 short ones =code 42. then reset ecu to wipe out codes. hope this helps.

IF you did want to put it back on... You could probably buy a new one for like $10. You couldn't reapply that one and expect it to adhere as well unless you used some sort of permanent adhesive.

Default Badges...

Is it really that easy to take the rear badge off? No holes or anything? What about the front badge, is it as easy to take off? Will there be any holes if the front badge is removed?

Emblems come off with fishing line or dental floss. Use heat gun or hair dryer to warm up the emblem/glue first.

my emblem came right off when i tried peeling it.. i figured it would look cleaner w/o the emblem.. plus i figured i might as well take it off myself before someone tries to steal it and messed up the car (like they did my "A" badges)...

as for the ECU codes.. just jump the 2 pin connector on your passenger side by the glovebox/kinda under it.. then turn iginition to ON position and watch/count the flashes.. the slow flashes are the tens digit and the faster flashes are the ones digit.. then it will pause and do the next code (if there is more than 1 code.. if not. it will pause and cycle through the same code again..)
