well i was changing the oil of a pontiac bonneville or whatever, and i took out the drainplug, and the thing was magnetic, ok big deal eh...well spoon seems to make it, by charging an outragous 45 bucks for a dollar bolt, now if pontaic puts it in their cars, i dont see how a company doesnt make it for hondas at a low price as well, im sure autozone probably has it for like 2 bucks or whatever, and im sure its as good of quaility as spoon, or am i just being retarded like normal...
well uh no u need a magnetic material to stay magnitized u can magnitize some metals with electricity but only while its charged by the elecrticity
You can magnatize alot of metals. To test to see if the metal can be done take it to a magnet and if it sticks then you will be ok. Just take that drain plug and run it down a large magnet, a speaker magnet will do fine. Make sure that you only rub it in one direction and not back and forth because this will de-polarise the metal. After about 10-15 pulls across the magnet it should be enough to make it stong enough to collect all metal fragments that will make its way into the oil area. I hope that this helps you out.
