Default Energy Suspension shift stablizer on stock shift lever? Has anyone done this?

Lately I have noticed that my shift lever has gotten a little rubbery feeling. When it is in gear, I can move it back and forth, side to side pretty far. Will the Energy Suspension shift stablizer help this?

Did you need the bushing though? Or was your old one still in good condition? I'v never heard anyone with the stock lever say anything about it, but other people with aftermarket short shift levers say its gold.

I dunno about your stock ones wearing out, as it would take a very, very long time or some harsh weather conditions to rot them out.

Regardless, the 10 dollars for the bushings makes the shifts feel more direct, although the feeling is kinda subtle.

in my experiense the side to side movement is not gonna be fixed by the bushings however they are still worth it. i think the side to side is from where the shifter connects to the linkage.

I don't have the ES ones, but I do have the prothane ones, and they did make a small difference in side to side motion, but quite small. If you are looking to completely eliminate or drastically reduce the wobble then this is not the answer, sorry. It is worth it though. The shifter will feel more solid and precise when sliding into gear, and you will get better feedback from the shifter to know when it's actually in gear. It's also a great excuse to go tinker with your car. HTH.
