dissapearing oil (problem)
I have a 95 accord lx 2.2 non v-tec I use for work. I dont beat on it and I dont ever rev past 4 grand. Today I was delivering food down a dirt road really bumpy and the oil light came on. I figured it was just the idiot light flashing because of the bumps. I have changed the oil about 3 thousand miles ago, and knew it needed another oil change soon. When I got back to work I put a quart into it and let the engine cool down. After about 30 min I then checked the oil and it was not even reading on the stick, nothing except small amounts on the sides of the dipstick-very dry. After letting the oil sit for another 10 min or so i checked again, nothing dry. Frustrated I took a walk next door and got 2 quarts, after putting the quarts into the engine, I started up the car and let it run for a min then checked the oil again. This time it was norm it had the right amount of oil. I have had this disappearing probelm with my integra to right before the integra threw a bearing in the crank. I need this car for work, but I also need some answers on where the oil might be going. I also tend to check under the car every once and awhile to see if it is leaking any oil, it never is. If anyone can help please it would be greatly appreciated.

well first off, are you checking the oil correctly? make sure your wiping off the dipstick completely then reinstall it, then pull it up and check the level.
Secondly, if the oil isn't leaking, it could be burning. Check to see if you have bluish white smoke comming from the exhaust pipe (plus you'd smell it)
The oil could be going someplace werid. like allthough unlikey, into the trans. at which point the trans would leak it out the breather. or even more unlikey into the coolant jacket and into your coolant res. the reason I say this is the most unlikley is because usually it's theother way around, with a bad head gasket or a cracked block the colant usually goes into the oil, not the other way around.
but the oil has to be going somewhere. morethan likley it's leaking but does so while your driving. in either case, the bottem line is, oil is dissapearing, so it's going to need to be fixed. good luck

This is probably where your oil is going. Unless you forgot to mention that you turned the car off then you are definately checking the oil wrong. Let the car cool for a few mins, check the oil and add oil as the engine is turned off. Fill to the full mark (5 quarts for me from bone dry). I have two leaks that are really hard to see but nonetheless, draining the oil.
Headgasket along the distributor and below the intake manifold.
Second is the oil pan. Check those.
