Got hit by a drunk driver.. what's worse, she got away.
First update is on page 4 - I got hit... AGAIN!
So I pull into the gas station behind this bitch in an 86 Nissan pickup. She turns left (just slightly) after the gas pumps and I'm getting ready to pull into a spot, when she slams it in reverse and nails me.
Illustration:
I get out and I'm in disbelief. I couldn't speak. She's obviously hammered off of her *** and she's begging me not to call the cops, which made me want to do it more. She tries to hand me her registration and I start calling the police.. I just say "Let's just let the police deal with it." So as I'm on the phone, she hops in some other guy's truck and drives off with him, and the other guy's friend hops in her truck. I'm standing behind it, letting the police know that he's trying to leave, and he starts to run me over. I move out of the way and he drives off.
About 10 minutes (felt like forever) later, the cops show up and tell me that there's really nothing they can do. Since she tried to hand me her registration, they can't file it as a hit and run. Further, since it was on private property, they can't write a ticket (I knew this, but I wanted to bust this bitch for DUI or SOMETHING).
Basically the guy wishes me luck and tells me that he hopes my insurance will be able to deal with it.
I have no idea what I'm going to do. I'm sick to my stomach. I lost my job a while ago and have absolutely no money to pay for this. Does anybody know if I can sue her or anything?
****.. just when I thought my life couldn't get any worse, I get brought down even farther by a ******* drunk driver.
For the record:
-I got her plate number and the officer gave me her home address.
-I filed my claim today.
-I'll try and talk to the gas station tomorrow to see if I could obtain a copy of the video surveillance (if it was even on).
A moment of silence for her glory days:

My poor car.
Oh, and a big **** YOU TO DRUNK DRIVERS!

Aghh screw that bitch. That sucks dude but I'm sure there's something you could do. Just find her or call her and let HER insurance handle it.

same exact thing happened to me. she went in reverse and side swiped my car. but she wasnt drunk. just a stupid camel with no license reg or insurence. and she tried to leave too and i almost punched her window out. basically the cops cant do anything but they CAN write a police report.
also in ca its a law, i dunno where your from. but you insurence has a policy to cover un insured motorists. i had the cheapest insurence and only liability. and they kept trying to stall and say they had to get ahold of the dumb foreiner first, but i threatened to sue and they sent an adjuster out and mailed me a check. so look into your insurence policy because unless you specifically asled to have it removed from your policy, you most likely have that and should be ok

thats what i was gonna suggest. As long as you have her plate and info...i would go talk to her in person. Doesnt sound like you have any witnesses....so the survailennce cam would be the best bet. Try your luck at asking the attendant about that. There really is no reason why you would have to pay for this.
