Code 41.........What do I need to change.
I searched and found out everything up to this point. Now I need to know if it's the O2 sensor in the front that I need to change. I get a code 41: Primary oxygen sensor heater from the "wire in the socket" test.
I can't spring the 200+ that the dealer wants for a new one so what are my options. I saw a denso on http://www.sparkplugs.com/more...=2014 is that a good replacement?
Kind of a related legal question. I noticed that my check engine light would not come on when I turn on the ignition so I went back there to check and the bulb was pulled. I guess the dealer did this to conceal the fact that there was a code. Is that illegal and is there some kind of action I can take about this.
Stock 95 EX by the way.
TIA

Check the resistance on the Heated circuit on your O2 sensor, if it shows no resistance then its dead, But check to see if you get the 12 volts comming down the lineto verify its not a wiring issue
now you said the dealer didnt tell you, well did the dealer just sell you the car?
