Getting a new ignition from honda, how does it work?
Hey guys, the ignition on my car is all dangling and **** which is real annoying. It's a theft recovery car incase you're wondering. I took apart the steering and stuff and tried to JB weld what pieces I had together to put it back to normal but ****, it's not working out...
My question is how does the process work at honda? I'm told that I can use an EK ignition on my EG. I want to get an EK igntion because I'm told it works and it's about 200 bucks cheaper then the EG one.
I heard the process goes something like, they take your vin number and then make the right key for it but then i'm kind of wondering if they wont do it for me because the Vin number wont match up to an EK. I want it for the price difference though.
Can anyone tell me how to do it?

Junk yard! you can prolly get whatever ya need, just get the vin of the car that you removed it from if the junk yard doesn't have the key.

It's not that bad. I got an ignition from the JY for $45, it saved me some $$

Of course they did Honda quoted me like $300+ for a new ignition, so I am quite satisfied using 2 keys.
