Default JDM/EUDM/USDM AUSDM header

Hey guys

Ive been reading a lot about how the JDM Header is used as an upgrade to your standard USDM units. And i jsut saw some photos of one and im not exactly sure whether they differ to the AUSDM unit. I know that we here are perhaps closer to the JDM model as the itnerior is the same, has the same rims as the EUDM....

Kinda confusing... can anyone shine some light on this issue for me?

Do you know if your header is 4-2-1 two piece, or 4-1 one piece?

two piece I'm guessing.. cast iron upper and stainless steel lower.

I'm not going to say for certain, but I'm thinking it's the 96-spec header that we get in the USDM.

The collector on the JDM 96 spec is 2.5" and so bigger than the USDM collector. I thought that the US 4-2 upper section was the same as the Uk upper section which is tubular and not cast like the JDM 96spec. And as far as i know the Oz headers were the same as UK headers in every way.

im actually quite sure its stainless right the way through from the top to the bottom... i dont think its a two peice unit man... i just had a feel through it and up behind the heat sheild...

i can tell by peaking behind the shield by the colour of the header that tis stainless rather than cast

its a late 2000 model

???

You can tell now that i havent really fiddled with the car too much, i cringe at the thought of pulling things apart because its so perfect the way it is

Ah yes, you're right about the collector.

The USDM upper section is cast if I recall correctly.

Yes, the USDM upper is cast. For the USDM, the header is the same from MY 1997-2001. It didn't change.

Let's see some more folks post in here

this is the EUDM header. It's different from the USDM.
