Default F22A Hybrid

My friend can get a hold of a head from a VTEC accord at a junkyard. He was wondering if this head swap is a good way to get some performance out of his engine. He also wonders what his compression would be after he does the swap.

The only thing you get out of the swap is VTec. You want big gains.... boost the stock non-vtec F or swap in an H22/23

I know I can boost or do a H22A swap, but that's not the question. I was also wondering if it would fit easily and what the compression ratio would be. thanks

I assume it can be done, but don't know if it will be worth the extra 5hp and the big empressive vtec

I will do my own port and polish and get a camshaft from Gude so, ya it would be worth the few hp. And plus that I am getting a custom 2.5" exhaust done soon.

You must be a newbie honda or you wouldnt get Gude.

Try Web Camshafts. Gude ahs a bad rep here on h-t.

One more thing, do I have to do the same thing with SOCH like LSVTEC to tap a hole in the block and get a oil filter adaptor for the oil return?

The compression should be whatever the f22b1 is. We did a f22b1 swap into my freinds car that used to be a f22b2. Its not worth it for performance in my opinion. But he had 150k miles on his f22b2 and the f22b1 had 80k wich was the reason we did it.

Compression will be the same unless your swapping pistons

Definitely go with webcams

And what is a Single Over Cam Head?
