Rumor someone told me about Hondata, is it true
Yesterday I was talking to a friend of mine about my car surging. He told that in the winter hondata makes your car surge, because the hondata doesn't read the ECT sensor. Can you guys tell me if this is true.
i believe this is true, but im not 100 percent. if im correct neptune would be the way to go as you can adjust it during diff times of year (temperature)
i think its the fact that you tune your car for in one weather but then people try to race in the dead of winter. LIKE ME
i tuned in tampa it was 88 degrees, nowim in alabama, and it was 31 degrees the other night, my car ran like ****, and threw an IAT check engine light.
i think it doesnt have a range that large to correct for IAT that far,

People have been asking Hondata to incorporate IAT correction for a while now

Except that when I had to deal with SSAC they had great customer service and had no problem replacing my crap that broke, unlike Hondata who barely answer their phone.

look how long hondata has been out..................and after all that we finally got a MAP sensor upgrade and a junky *** nOS control no one uses, a shitty spark cut 2 step, and a really Coooooool shift light!
if it werent for my car running like a champ i would eventually use something else, but my car runs perfect and i dont use all that other ****!

my car was runs nice in the winter and it is near 20' i got it tune in the sept when it was around 80+ and it still ran good. no problems here i hope cause if so im switching to neptune!!!
I think the surging problem only happens when you run injectors over 550... I used to have rc550s and the car ran great but now I have precision 1000s and it idles crazy and sometimes surges. Also I believe more fine tuning would help.
It really shouldnt surge because of air temps. It sounds like it needs a lower IACV duty cycle value. If the car is tuned properly it should run like a factory car in all temps.
nowadays if you are going to spend money on buying an ems then you should just go with something like neptune or aem. Hondata is a huge rip and the same thing can be had for free with programs like uberdata and crome.

It's not like I wanted to dish out $1500+ for some HYPE/FAD when I could get the same end results with a lower priced system (Hondata). The money I saved went back into my setup...bigger injectors, aluminum radiators, tires, etc...
My opinion...even though Hondata does have its flaws...I would not go with any other systems because it (Hondata) basically makes my car FASTER than it was!!!!
AEM EMS SUCKS!!!!

I don't know about the AEM being a fad, it can be a very good ems when setup properly.
-That being said however, I am selling my AEM and going Neptune.
