Default d16a8

I tried doing a search. But as most of you probably know the search is disabled. My question is this. What is the deal with a d16a8? What is the power rating? Is it a good motor? How similar is to the DOHC ZC? What did it come out of originally? What is its worth? Any info would be helpful...

The ZC DOHC is refered to as a d16a8 or d16a9. The USDM version has 130hp and the JDM version has 137hp. I got the swap shipped to my door with about 40k miles on it for $860. It comes out of a 88-91 JDM SIR civic or a 88-91 integra LS or RS. I have been running it for a while still trying to get the kinks out but it has been a good motor.

I know of someone that has this motor for sale for $550. Do you think it is worth that? It is a complete motor (no tranny). Should i jump on it?

Actually that info is not correct.

The DOHC zc came in the 88-91 JDM civic/crx si
The DOHC d16a8/a9 came in the 88-91 EDM civic/crx si
The d16a1 came in the 88-89 integra
The 90-91 USDM integra came with the b18a1
The JDM/EDM civic/crx sir came with the b16a/a1
There was never a US version of the ZC

The ZC also came in an OBD1 version and also was sprinkled in many different honda cars overseas.
