please help me out with my decision making. Im stuck
Ok, sorry for the vague title
Here is my problem:
ive had the ITR now for exactly a year
the car has never seen snow until this winter where i was forced to drive her in the snow a few times
currently i live with my dad and he is real **** about me having a second car
so for next year i dont know what to do about the winter months
options that im aware of for winter:
1. store the car and get a beater
problem: would have to buy and sell a beater car EVERY year and pay registration and inspection on the beater car each year, while i store the R somewhere other than my house
2. drive the car year round
problem: the car is low, it's supercharged, theres always that risk of it being hit from someone else or crashing it from sliding on ice
theres salt, sand, -10 degree weather, and so on
more mileage on car, blah blah
3. sell the R and get something like an EVO
problem: the evo and sti and cars like those, although they are AWD, they are not very sporty looking, 4 door and kind of family car looking
plus i really want to keep the R
so what do i do?
i keep the R in a garage year round regardless as of now
in a perfect world, i would have my R in the garage in the winter here at the house and a beater sitting outside, but im stuck
so, recap
4 car garage, 4 cars
dad doesnt want any cars out side on the lawn
dont want to drive the R in the winter anymore
any ideas? please give any feedback possible
also if this car ever dies or gets stolen or something like that, i want an S2000, which would still put me in the same problem of not wanting to drive it in the winter
thanks for your time

Please see my dim bulb post (if you're able to take an indirect hint).

Apparently, that wasn't you're only question/problem!

What are the other three cars in the garage? I say one of those needs to go
jk
hmm.. well if you really want to keep the R and not drive it in the winter months, I mean you really want this car to stay... I'd look at renting a storage unit to keep it in. Get a beater, and either store it when winter's over or park it somewhere (any other family nearby with space? Grandparents' house?)
