XSI motor ??

Default XSI motor ??

how do you know if it is an XSI motor?

xsi motor has 1xxxxxxx under the B16 on the engine block. SiR would be B16 5xxxxxxx.

sir is a crx and xsi is integra right so which is better or are they the same?

pretty much the same motor, depending on year. Also many tranny options between the two.

i think it's the other way around....i thought xsi/Rsi was the 5 mil series and the Si-R was the 1 mil series.

The tranny options are different for each, motors the same.
You get better gearing on the xsi, but standard lsd is not an option, like it is on the sir.
I got the xsi with s1 tranny and then installed a quaife lsd.

i thought you can get the ys1 with lsd off of a jdm integra?

You can get the ys1 with lsd but was that off of the xsi?

DA6 DA8 "B16A 1xxxxxx" PR3 '88-91 S1 or J1
Cable type Clutch 160 10.2:1

EF8 EF9 "B16A 5xxxxxx" PR3 '89-92 Y1 or YS1
Cable Optional 'LSD' stamp on casing 160
10.2:1
