A friend of mine has recently done a cable to hydro conversion on my 88 to 91 ef and i cant seem to get the speedometer or reverse lights to work. I just want to know if there are any solutions for this problem.

The swap was a 95 integra LS swap.

 

Convert the vss to an electrical instead of mechanical one. And rewires the reverse lights, usually 2 wires.

 

Can I have some more detailed info on how to do this?

 

What speed sending unit are you using?

You do not need to use a electrical vss unless you have a sir, gsr/itr (94"+) gauge cluster.

If you have your stock gauge cluster you need to use a 90-93 Integra vss.

As far as the reverse lights goes you just need to hook up the reverse switch on the transmisson to your stock reverse switch wires on your engine harness.
