As it seems just about everything that can be done has been done to our cars (bar the new K motors).

We also have a lot of great information scattered throughout the forum, in the links and stickies. Some is easy to find, some is harder.

Provided I get approval from the Mods and the Authors; and the user intrest is high. I would like to try and gather all the correct and accurate information/resources found on the H-T EG board, into an easy to use, down-loadable website.

The goal behind this is to have it all in one centeral place that is:
1) easy to use - sub sections to break down engine, transmission, body etc
2) easy to search - most people dont use it, or really suck at using it now.
3) preserve images - Often archived information has broken images due to age.
4) downloadable - for the people who dont have 24/7 access to a computer, they can download the whole site, and use it offline. Even print out the sections.

It would be free for everyone to use of course.

I understand we have a H-T Wiki, but IMO the info posted on it just doesnt cut it.

So I ask the user what their thoughts are on this? and mods/Dustin, would this be allowed? (respectivly understanding all information here is (c)relyNew.

I can be contacted by IM in regards to matters of site/owner approoval etc.

haha, I know what you mean. Thats why I thought of doing this. First and formost, I need dustin to say its okay use the posts, of course still crediting HT. I can even host it on HT if he likes, otherwise I would just make a sub spot just for it.

This is a good idea. It's kinda like the FAQ thread right? The only thing I don't like about the "Post helpul links so we can get an archive going" thread is that you have to search through the pages to even see if your topic is covered. Maybe, if B18C5-EH2 (or someone else, I volunteer) could consolidate all the helpful links by category into his first post, organization would be greatly improved.

kinda like the faq thread except broken down, by 92-95, 96-00 and then furthy by engine, trans, body, interior etc etc

But also with just links, the images usually become broken after a few months. My idea would be to consolidate it into a an easy to use website.

I would be happy to do it, and do it with other people too.
Before I start I want permission from Dustin/mods first, and to make sure this is something people would want and use.

very good point.
people who put irrelevant titles make it that much harder for people searching.
