Default B20 head buildup

Am I missing anything?

P8R head
crower cams
crower valve springs and retainers
Buddy club cam gears
Head gasket (cometic)
Is there anything else I need to do... I know I could do valves and get a P&P, but its a lot of extra cash... is there anything else I NEED

anything I should know?

For the head gasket, I'm going to need one that is 84mm, does Cometic sell one in that size?

New seals! Make sure your valve guides aren't worn

I'll check them both

The block has 100,000 kms on it. The head, I have no idea!

DO an entire rebuild. new bolts(head, rod), bearings, rings, and seals! Take the block and head to a machine shop and have them cleaned and check the flatness of the surfaces! It'll only cost about $50-60!

OEM HG for a CRV will work also.

even with the different head... the P8R has the 84mm combustion chambers (not 81 like a stock b20)

CRV HG = 84mm bore

I'm familiar w/ the P8R heads. I bought and sold 2 of them.

I would get a set of stainless steal valves also. I dont recommend that you use stock valves with those springs. Ive seen alot of ppl brake stock valves. Stock valves are not meant to have all that spring pressure and will cause valve failure.

What if I keep the stock redline.. should I still get new valves?

You will be fine with stock valves. I've known tons of people (myself included) who have run the crower springs w/out any damage to the oem valves.
