Why can't you run high compression pistons with a gsr head in a ls/vtec setup?
Some guy said that if you're runnin ls pistons you could use a gsr head, but if you have higher compression pistons use a b16 head.
Why is this?
Why is this?
Maybe you didn't catch the entire convo, or that guy's talking nonsense. GSR pistons are considered hi comp. Honda uses GSR pistongs w/GSR head, why would you want to run LS pistons, unless you go forced induction? I'm sure what he was referring to was the fact that GSR heads have a slightly smaller compression chamber than the B16 (PR3) head, resulting in a higher compression ratio, all else equal. I've got ITR pistons with my GSR head and I've seen some people run CTR pistons, which are even higher compression. Stop listening to people that don't know what they're talking about, noobie.

Thank alot man each day I learn more with you guys.
Anyway What compression ration does CTR pistons have?
Which ones you think are better for a daily driver car?
and by the way which rods and bolts are good for hard revving like 9000 to 9500?
My plan is to upgrade all the internals of block and head.
Thanks for your help.

You might want to search around a little in the All Motor Forum. there is a ton of stuff about ls/vtec in there.
