Default Replacing intake manifold today NEED HELP Search down:(

Ok replacing the intake manifold on my d16y7 with one from a d16y5 engine and need to know if you need to replace the coolent when taking off the manifold?

You are going to spill some, but just refill the tank with water and it'll be okay. Make sure you get all the air out of the lines when you start it back up or you'll have overheating problems.

i drained the coolent from the radiator and the block when i took my IM off. But if you dont it will spill out when you take it off.

take the radiator cap off, start the car, wait til there is no more bubbles.

Keep adding water to make sure you don't just suck more air down in it too.

Just like killing your ex-girlfriend: crack the breathing port, add water, squeeze the tubes, repeat until the bubbles stop .
