do any of you with h22s in a eg have a problem with the center console? with mine...the shifter is down a lot lower (closer to the rear) so i cant get it into the bottom gears. the way it is right now, i screwed to top 2 screws that holds the cup holder part in place....so when i shift the whole console goes up....not really a big deal but i just wanna noe if any of you has experiance this and what did you do

 

This problem frustrated me to no end. I used the shifer from a 5th gen lude, and the console was way too small to fit over it. I think its easier to cover if you use a 4th gen shifter, or perhaps some accord shifter.

As it is, I have no center console, and the shifter and cables are completely exposed. looks like crap, but I have given up and no longer care.

I've seen pics on this site with the stock console fitting over the 4th gen shifter just fine... maybe you mounted the shifter too far back. you can always drill your own holes and mount everything exactly how you want it... sorry I guess I'm not contributing much here... I'll shut up now.
