just boosted my b18c.. backfiring problem..
aite.. i just got done installing my turbo on b18c and it is backfiring..
here is the set up:
stock b18c
turbonetic t3-t4
runnin walbro 255 with B&M FPR and gauge
fuelp pressure set at 41~42 wit vacuum off
regapped my ngk spark plugs
runnin dsm 450's
exhaust not hookedup, running open dp
it backfires about 5500~6000 rpm
no boost control and only boost gauge hooked up ( need to get some gauges)
not sure where the timing is set right now.. i am assuming that's the problem..
NOT running FMU or Missinlink.. went with Uberdata with p72
also running hella rich right now..
can anybody think of why it is backfiring besides the timing being off?
please help me out..

So you have no tuning, no wideband, incorrect static timing ... and you wonder why the car is not running correctly?
I would try fixing these things:
1) Set the timing
2) Tune the car

Sure it could. Either way this guy should fix his car.

We fixed the problem by setting the timing to 16 degrees today. Thanks for your knowledge.
