my civic was stolen and im trying to figure out a car that doesn't have such a high theft rate. by buying a RSX will i be reducing the risk? i was looking into a WRX also. I never thought id be asking this ghey *** q but here i am. any input is appreciated

 

I think no matter what kind of car your gonna get somebody is going to want it, like my cousin says "if someone wants it bad enough they'll get it", but yea if your looking for a low theft car i'd go with the WRX (actually i'd go with the EVO!),

I have no worries about my RSX-S....I have the LoJack early warning system and although many of you say that it still isnt 100% security....I dont worry at all, because if LoJack doesnt find my car, they guarantee to fully replace it...So theives, try all you want, and get me a new Type-S...

 

there will never be a system to protect against someone coming up to your car with a towtruck and pulling it away.

that's why you have insurance.

 

i had loJack the first time it got stolen but the problem is its not activated until you realize its gone. by time they had found it, it had already been stripped. I REALLY want the EVO but the wrx has been around longer therefore making them cheaper. I saw the video of how they stole it...it took them 10 min and they pushed it out...what burns me the most is that there are 2 cars that drive by while theyre doin it and its OBVIOUS. im going to see if i can get the video. ill post it if i do

people keep telling me "get something that no one wants..." those people don't understand how much we love cars. they expect me to drive around in a cavalier and be happy.

You probably got the standard version. I have the LoJack Early Warning System. It emails me, calls my cell phone, calls me at home, calls my parents, and calls my friends in minutes when my car has been moved without me in the car. So come up in a tow truck and see what happens when you try and drive that sluggish truck towing my car. That plus insurance makes me not worry one bit.

actually they'll just give you your money back for the lojack, not the car

I want to know where you got that from, cuz that is 100% wrong.....Do you have th early warning system? I doubt you do.

My lojack was $1200, Lifetime service as long as I have my car.

Ouch....I got owned....I guess I do get refunded for my LoJack....But there is also a guarantee that if they dont find my car with their early warning system, then they will fully reinburse me for the loss....That's the answer I was looking for....But I apologize for not knowing about that SoSoJeff....I stand corrected....

 

I had lojack in my GSR
1st time found it the same night
2nd time found stripped
If I had early warning it may have helped

Agreed. Full coverage with GAP protection allows me to go to the movies and shop at malls. I think RSX theft will rise when the K20 swap becomes cheaper.
