make sure all your ignition parts (plugs, wires, distributor caps) are working correctly...if not that's your problem...is your check engine light on? if so, either check it or go to autozone and get a free diagnostic to find out the problem...then troubleshoot from there...you need to give us a little more info on whats going on with your car though...
i did every kind of tune-up u can think of with platinum plugs.. I did get it scanned.. I work at a shop... it also said the egr gets stuck at times.. can this cause the misfire? i cant really test it because its all electronic, and not vacum hose like older models.
I dont want to just replace the egr and waste money without solving the problem. I am not very good with obd 2.
any other help.

I know it may seem semi-obvious... but are you 110% sure the plug wires are installed in the right firing order?
My next guess would be check the plugs, make sure they're gapped correctly. I had a similar problem on one of my RX-7's... turned out that they were gapped at .041 when they should have been .055. Something I overlooked. And are they the right heat range for your motor?
Again, I know, some of this is obvious, but it's been my experience that it's the simplest, cheapest things that cause the most frustration.

valve adjustment. Might help. I am having the same problem in my type R and I have done everything but a new distributor, and a valve adjusment.
Something is obviously wrong with the timing. So i would guess the valves too.

i doubt its the valve.. i have an auto u got a manual.. my reason is it wont change gears.. at high rpm.. the misfire might cause it not to change gears... if yours is misfiring u have other problems.. not the valve.. check your timing...
