so when my bass hits my egt gauge goes crazy! i believe that i am pulling the power off the accesory power, do you think this could be the problem? if so where should i get the power from?

ground the **** outta it.
Give it is own ground on the ground part seperate from the light.
I even grounded my probe to the Chassis. I was having similiar problems and it fixed it

 

what did you ground it to? i am having a hard time finding something good to ground it to

 

all the interior wiring is grounded off of one of the steering column brackets i believe, there is a Factory ground there as well.
under the hood i built a ground off of the nearest head stud to the EGt probe and Ran it to the Chassis.
