not sure what to do?
I have a 94teg RS with 145k miles on it and not sure about the best way to go about getting a turbo. Ive been told that all i really need to replace on the engine are the pistons and have the cylinders bored and honed. but with the 145k miles would i also need to replace the rods? and with a turbo would i need to get better valve springs and valves? just trying to figure out best way to go about getting a decent turbo at 10psi or so and dont wanna spend alot more money for parts i dont need.
and also will all i need is a new clutch in the tranny? or should i get a tranny with lower miles

hone cylinders when you replace the pistons get new rods and re bearing. should be alright just dont run the crap out of ur car...... do a search on HT there is tons of info on this.
For 10psi I would leave your bottom end alone untill you come across a problem. Your stock bottom end will be just fine if tuned properly. Your stock valvetrain will also be fine on 10psi. I would get a new clutch, I went with ACT and have had no problems. If you are set on rebuilding I would go with a set of good forged pistons (JE, Aries, CP, ect), and go with new forged rods. It all depends on what you want to do with the car, what kind of power you want to make?
I would not bore the cylinders unless they are scored, just get them honed. But in short, for 10psi don't even open your engine. Just do a comp test and see if everything is ok, if so leave it alone and concentrate on building a nice turbo set up and proper management.
