Yesterday I brang my car to my machanic and they jsut replaced the gasket for my tial wastegate and made it fit right cause there was an exhaust leak. Anyways they did that for free then I drove home sounded weird kinda cool tho. Gassing it driving hard and stuff and was wondering why it sounded like this. THey forgot to put the metal ring thing that seals the wastegate on i guess. What damge could this do? And randomly my car started smoking after they did it if I got on it hard.

you need that ring to make a complete seal of the wG you are just bypassing the WG causign it expel exhaust gas.

No basically all it is doing is making the WG leak...so it will be laggy and may not devlop full boost.

 

it's takes like 5 min to take your wategate off. why not just put it back in.

ya cause i had to wait for it to cool down and my machanic does it for free anyways and im lazy lol. anyways that ring is also what was making my car smoke.
