Windshield wiper probelm
ok i just bought a eg not to long ago and recently it has started to rain at my area... i was using the wipes and int and they dont work...when i put them on lo they work..and hi...my problem is...when i turn off the wipers wherever i turn them off at they stay there..it doesnt go back down to its "destination" what do u guys think this might be the cause of this..is it the relay its going out or what might it be? the int doest work also does it affect also the wipers from just stayin at one place when i turn it off?
This is a common problem with our cars. There's a strip of metal that makes contact with the rest of the circuit that ends up getting fucked up over time. You can change it yourself or you can find a new motor at a junkyard.
Hey, at least they work right. I have to run a 17" wiper on the driver side, which is several inches shorter than stock. I have to do this b/c the wiper travels past the windshield which tears up the blade. Even w/ a 17" wiper it still does it, just not as bad. I can't figure it out. I've lost several wipers driving in the rain b/c the blade gets torn off
talk about unsafe.

dont suppose you tried repositioning the wiper arm on that sprocket type thing have you? is it going past both edges of the window, or just one side?
Mine used to go off the drivers side of the window, so I took the arm off, repositioned... bingo, it works.

I tried that, and still have the same issue.

You mean it's not staying in one fixed position on the post/shaft when you bolt it down ? The splines on the post's are very fine and strip easy...one of Honda's shittier designs ....try a lock washer ?

That's not a bad idea there, I'll give it a shot this weekend. I tried to fix it last August when i had the hood off, I haven't messed w/ it since.
